HI, I‘M MARK.

I'm a guitar player, a tattoo enthusiast, a connoisseur of chicken parm, but most importantly a graphic designer based just north of Boston MA.

I grew up in the small town of Methuen, MA. You might have heard of it: we have an outdoor shopping mall where kids skateboarded and cops broke up fights every Friday night behind the Stop & Shop. It wasn’t the most notable town on the map, but it was an amazing center HUB for new bands and music in Boston, New Hampshire, and Maine.

A former hardcore kid, and forever a Warped Tour Kid at heart, I love this music community. I started Saffie Design in 2011 as a way to provide quality design services to up-and-coming bands and small D.I.Y projects that might not have easy or affordable access to it. As a musician myself with a passion for all things punk rock and heavy metal, I have relentless respect for the MA music scene, and I do all that I can to help other musicians thrive and continue to live out their passion through music. This community played a big part in shaping me into who I have become, and this is my way to give back.

I graduated the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a BFA in Art & Design in 2014, but have been studying, practicing, and learning graphic design for over 10 years now. I started out primarily as an illustrator, as a little kid drawing and dreaming up characters I liked from movies and comic books. But as I got older, I fell in love with the process of graphic design. Seeing creations come to life through application for practical purposes was addicting, so by the time I was in high school my life’s path was clear. Since graduation I've had the privilege of working with some major brands, including (but definitely not limited to) Honda, Subaru, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Elmer’s Glue, Hasbro, Play-Doh, Nickelodeon, the Boston Red Sox, the NHL, and the NFL. Currently, I’m employed as a senior designer at Media Results, a full-service creative agency, where I’ve been for 6 years.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with you on your next big project!
